Should We Raise Pets in the Dormitory?
Sep 08
So far, some students have been seen raising pets in the dormitory due to all kinds of reasons. Generally speaking, they do that because they think raising pets do no harm to them. Instead, it can bring fun to them so as to reduce their pressure and then relax them.
But as for myself, I am totally against it. Firstly, itrsquo;s a waste of time. Everyday they must spend a lot of time looking after their pets. They will be distracted by them from time to time. Secondly, such students will bother their roommates and take them out of the ordinary routine of life.
As a student of the university, his / her time should be spent mostly on the subject he / she majors in, not any other matter that doesn’t matter. We are all human being, and we only have limited time and energy to fill our life with color and experiences. Raising pets can be a very suitable hobby that we can pay attention to in our spare time. Obviously, that will benefit us very much for the fun it brings and the joy it makes. But any thing has the other dimension that we should not forget.
On the other hand, I am sure that no one wants to bother his roommates just because the loving pet’s enjoying itself by jumping up and down, running back and forth and so on. We ought to know that only if we learn to expect others, do we know how to get on well with others. And that’s the way to live a real life. So, try to think and we can make our decisions very properly. Simply speaking, doing the proper things at proper time is the right choice. Remembering that, we can handle anything that we must face.
Considering all of the above, I am not in favor of raising pets in the dormitory. We must be responsible not only for others but also for ourselves.
